Black's 5th Grade

I hope everyone had a great break!  We are now in the process of preparing and review for the State Testing.  Please review your child's homework - we are working and accuracy and efficiency. Basic computation should be mastered but we are working on double checking for errors.  We have worked very hard this year and I know the students will do great when we get to the test!!!!
If your child is having a hard time logging into IReady please try this to log in - student    This should get them in.  If they still cannot log in they can make up the homework before school and if they are a late bus.  For others that this will not work for I will have them work during class and take home the practice work we are doing in class.  Thanks for your help.
Parents if your child does not know their multiplication tables please work with them to master this skill.  Knowing the facts help in so many other areas of Math.  If your child struggles in math this is one way to help them. Math Magician website is a fun and easy way to work on the facts.
Don't forget to read every night for 30 minutes. New AR goals are in your child's agenda.  Please check your child's AR log each week to see their progress.  Many of the students are not making progress in their AR - to improve reading you have to read:)
