Welcome to Second Grade! I am so excited to welcome you to my class for this upcoming school year! I am looking forward to an exciting year, full of learning and fun! Below you can find out more information about me. I was born and raised in Georgia and moved to the Murfreesboro area a little over two years ago. I grew up playing softball and attended college on a softball scholarship! I graduated from Shorter University in Rome, GA with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I worked as a Paraprofessional for a year and a half and in 2013 I started my first teaching job teaching Pre-K Special Ed. I taught Pre-K for two years before moving to Murfreesboro. This will be my third year teaching at Blackman Elementary! My husband and I have been married for almost 6 years and we have a beautiful 4 year old daughter named Henley and a spunky 1 year old son named Isaac. We also have a sweet Lab named Buddy. For fun, we love to be outside, take rides on the boat and go camping. We enjoy traveling during the summer and spending time with our family!
