Reading: How reasons support specific points an author makes in a text.
Story of the week: Read Rain Forests pgs. 300 - 321 (This story is in the Anthology book which will come home on Tuesday. Students should read the story and be ready to discuss it on Wednesday.)
Math: Place Value
Science: Earth's Surface
Social Studies: Christmas around the world
(Students will work on their projects in place of Reading and Math homework this week)
Fluency Words - Students will read the fluency page nightly. They should study the word(s) that are highlighted the most as those are the words they struggled with. Parents should initial the square each night to show that your child has been practicing. This page should be returned on Friday.
Spelling Activities sheet - Do one of the activities on the tic-tac-toe sheet

Math wkbk pgs. 255-258
Practice math fluency (You may use flash cards, MobyMax- math facts, Math Magician, dice, cards, etc. as ways to practice math fluency)
Read at least three books each week and be ready to test over them.
